Kira Leander and Natalie Castro, both students at Oliver Middle School and winners in the art contest, look at some of the other winning artwork on display at the ArtScience celebration last week. ArtScience is a science-as-art project that introduces students in the Metro Nashville Public Schools Encore Program to basic developmental biology themes and asks them to interpret what they’ve learned through the creation of a piece of art. The winning art is framed and displayed gallery style in MRB III, near labs in Vanderbilt's Program in Developmental Biology.
