The Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt hosted a “Reverse Trick-or-Treat” event Friday. Costumed volunteers and staff brought Halloween festivities to patients and families in their rooms. Raheim Pipkins, 3, dressed as a purple dragon, chooses a toy from a Volunteer Services goodie cart. His brother, Jontez, an 11-month- old patient dressed as a pumpkin, is held by his mother, DeShanda. Staff members doling out toys were Sandra Holtzclaw, dressed in black, and Gabriela Sanchez, dressed as Raggedy Ann.
