Employees can now access Medical Center North after hours by using their VUMC ID badge.
New door locks for the majority of entrances to Medical Center North were equipped with card readers. After hours, employees can swipe their badge to enter the building. All valid badges will operate these doors. All doors will be open during normal daytime working hours.
The lock/unlock schedules for these doors will not change; it will be the same schedule that is used now by the University Police. The new system will increase the safety of Medical Center North personnel after hours and will improve convenience for entering the building on evenings and weekends.
