Joseph Fanning, Ph.D., assistant professor of Medicine and associate director of Clinical Ethics Consultation at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, has been invited to present at an upcoming conference in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Fanning’s presentation, “Ethics Consultation and Entrustable Professional Activities: What Difference do Competencies Make?” will be given at the 8th International Conference on Clinical Ethics and Consultation.
In the presentation he will introduce Olle ten Cate’s concept of “entrustable professional activities” and elaborate on how it can help reframe the conversation around competency-based education for ethics consultation.
