Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital Development has launched a new Web site, which includes resources for volunteers as well as online copies of Kaleidoscope, the Children’s Hospital magazine.
The site, located at www.helpVCH.org, was launched in mid-July after more than nine months of development. Its easy to navigate design is focused towards kids and adults.
“The Web site offers the community a birds-eye view of how individuals can help Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital – by giving and by volunteering,” explained Arlene Samowich, designer and developer of the site and director of Web communication for Vanderbilt’s Division of Institutional Planning and Advancement.
The site includes information on how to give to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital (VCH), as well as major fund-raising activities such as the Iroquois Steeplechase, Music City Tennis Tournament and Children’s Miracle Network. Contributions can be made through the site through a secure server.
“This Web site will enable you to watch the building progress of the new Children’s Hospital, donate online, join Friends of VCH, find out how to volunteer, and stay informed about special events,” explained Mary Rigby, executive director of VCH Development. “You can even sign up to receive updates by giving us your e-mail address.”
The new Web site will be incorporated into the VCH Web site, which is currently under development.
