VUMC aligns with Gallatin pediatric practice
Vanderbilt University Medical Center has entered into a joint venture agreement with Gallatin-based Gallatin Children's Clinic, a two-physician pediatric practice serving Sumner County.
Drs. Norman Spencer and Ronald Miller have been providing pediatric care services to Sumner County residents since 1983 and have built Gallatin Children's Clinic into one of the area's premier pediatric practices.
Both Spencer and Miller were Pediatric residents at VUMC. Spencer is also a graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Both are board certified in pediatric medicine.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
This affiliation increases Sumner County residents' access to VUMC's wide range of health care services. It also allows VUMC to further expand its geographic coverage and enhance its network of affiliated physicians while at the same time offering further benefits to the communities VUMC serves.
"This agreement is another step in continuing our networking and managed care strategies," said Dr. James K. Geraughty, associate vice chancellor for Health Affairs.
"It also gives us the chance to build upon our relationship with Dr. Spencer and Dr. Miller. They represent the kind of physicians we want to be associated with."
Gallatin Children's Clinic is located at 648 Hartsville Pike in Gallatin.
