Walsh named to new development post
Holly Walsh has been named interim senior director of Development for the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
Walsh was previously senior director of Development for Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine and The Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center.
“Holly has a deep understanding of Nashville's philanthropic community and has well-established relationships with key stakeholders in Children's Hospital,” said Randy Farmer, executive associate vice chancellor for Development at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
“Combined with her fund-raising experience, Holly will be an effective advocate for child health,” Farmer said.
Walsh succeeds Terry Carter, who has taken a role as senior director of Development at VUMC.
She came to Vanderbilt in 2000 after serving as executive director of the American Heart Association's Middle Tennessee region. She worked in a variety of capacities at the AHA for 29 years, and still serves as the AHA's annual Heart Walk Committee Captain.
Walsh received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology at Middle Tennessee State University.
