Writing workshop for cancer survivors
Cancer survivors interested in exploring the process of creative writing are eligible to attend free Vanderbilt writing workshops this fall.
The classes are open to all cancer survivors regardless of where they received their cancer care, and previous writing experience is not required.
Participants will have the opportunity to create original material and share their thoughts and feelings with other cancer survivors in a confidential, non-academic, non-medical environment. The classes are taught by an accomplished poet and fiction writer.
The workshops will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Oct. 30, Nov. 13, Dec. 4 and Dec. 11 at the REACH for Survivorship Clinic, Village at Vanderbilt, 1500 21st Ave. S. Class members are encouraged to attend all four sessions.
The writing workshops are sponsored by the VUMC Office of Cultural Enrichment, the VU College of Arts and Science and the REACH for Survivorship Program.
