After serving 16 years as associate director for Research Education at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (VICC), Ann Richmond, PhD, Ingram Professor of Cancer Research, is stepping down from the leadership post.

Grammy Award-winning country music artist Kix Brooks is the new chair of Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt Advisory Board, taking over for outgoing chair Allison DeMarcus. Louise Adams, who succeeds Judge Les Smith, was recently named the chair of the Vanderbilt Eye Institute (VEI) Advisory Board.

Jenny Slayton, MSN, RN, who has served as Vice President of Quality, Safety and Risk Prevention since 2016, is being promoted to Senior Vice President for Quality, Safety and Risk Prevention.

Two Vanderbilt University Medical Center researchers -- Jennifer (Piper) Below, PhD, associate professor of Medicine, and Ivelin Georgiev, PhD, associate professor of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology -- have been selected for the 2020 cohort of Chancellor Faculty Fellows at Vanderbilt University.

Executive Chief Nursing Officer Marilyn Dubree, MSN, RN, NE-BC, has received the 2020 Advocate State Award for Excellence for Tennessee from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Nicole McCoin, MD, vice chair for Education and Keith D. Wrenn Residency Program director in Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Department of Emergency Medicine, and Pam Jones, DNP, senior associate dean for Clinical and Community Partnerships for Vanderbilt University School of Nursing (VUSN), have been chosen as 2020 “Women to Watch” by Nashville Medical News.
