Lynne Maquat, Ph.D., of the University of Rochester, spoke about mRNA decay and disease during her recent Flexner Discovery Lecture. Maquat and her team focus on RNA decay pathways, processes that remove faulty messenger RNAs and help limit the synthesis of abnormal proteins.
