Center for Structural Biology symposium to feature stellar lineup

The Vanderbilt University Department of Biochemistry will host a two-day symposium March 6-7 to honor the 60th birthday of Walter Chazin, Ph.D., director of the Center for Structural Biology.

The Vanderbilt University Department of Biochemistry will host a two-day symposium March 6-7 to honor the 60th birthday of Walter Chazin, Ph.D., director of the Center for Structural Biology.

The program will be held in Wilson Hall. A reception and dinner will be held Friday night in the Student Life Center. Scientists from around the United States and the world will participate, including:

• Mikael Akke, Ph.D., Lund University, Sweden;

• Jacek Kuznicki, Ph.D., director, International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, Warsaw, Poland;

• Jonathan Moore, Ph.D., Vertex Pharmaceuticals; and

• Arthur Palmer, Ph.D., Columbia University.

Vanderbilt speakers include Michael Feldkamp, Ph.D., Susan Meyn, Charles Sanders, Ph.D., and Jarrod Smith, Ph.D.
