Nominations are being accepted for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Award, which will be presented Monday, Jan. 21, 2019, to a faculty or staff member in the School of Medicine, School of Nursing or Medical Center who emulates through his or her work the principles of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The recipient will be recognized for creating a better understanding between people of different cultures, working to enhance the economic and health status of individuals, and/or fostering a diverse and inclusive community at Vanderbilt symbolic of King’s teachings.
The award will be presented at the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Lecture to be held at noon in 208 Light Hall.
A committee from the School of Medicine and the School of Nursing will select the award recipient.
Please consider nominating someone you know for their special contributions to Vanderbilt. Nomination deadline is Monday, Jan. 8, 2019, and must include a letter of recommendation from the nominator as well as the nominee’s resume.
