Pets of VUMC: A look back at the best of 2019

A handy, one-stop collection of the winners of the “VUMC Voice” 2019 Pets of VUMC contest.

Chad Lightner of the Vanderbilt Institute of Clinical and Translational Research sent in this photo of Koda, who had gotten a little too close to the fire pit.

Hundreds and hundreds of photographs were submitted for the VUMC Voice Pets of VUMC contest in 2019, and over the course of the year 10 collections of some of the best entries were posted. (Remember — the top prize we offer in the contest is a photo of your pet shared in VUMC Voice.) And while we weren’t able to use all, or even most, of the pictures we received, we were able to showcase a good sample of the best of the beasts.

VUMC people love their pets, and this roundup of this year’s collections of photographs is ample proof.

The first collection, “Pets and their people,” is here.

The second collection, “Summertime pets,” is here.

The third collection, “Duos and groups,” is here.

The fourth collection, “Smiling dogs, cat rebuttals, horse laughs,” is here

The fifth collection, “Here’s looking at you, part 1” is here.

The sixth collection, “Here’s looking at you, part 2” is here.

The seventh collection, “Tidings of comfort and joy, cat edition,” is here.

The eighth collection, “Tidings of comfort and joy, dog edition,” is here.
