Several upcoming events are set to benefit the Shade Tree Clinic, which provides health care to Nashville’s uninsured community and is run by Vanderbilt medical and nursing students.
- The Vanderbilt University Orchestra will perform a concert on Saturday, Feb. 12.
The concert will be held in Ingram Hall at the Blair School of Music at 8 p.m. It is free and open to the public. Vanderbilt staff, faculty and employees will be asked to swipe their ID badges upon entry.
Donations will be accepted in the lobby, but are not required to attend the performance.
- The Shade Tree Clinic is hosting its annual benefit and silent auction on Feb. 16. All are invited to virtually join the Shade Tree Benefit 10th Anniversary Celebration.
The event will honor Michael Fowler, MD, associate professor of Medicine and co-medical director of the Shade Tree Clinic.
The event will be livestreamed and will include a silent auction as well as guest appearances by Grammy Award-winning artist Sheryl Crow and renowned songwriter Rivers Rutherford, father of Vanderbilt medical student, Maggie, who will perform live.
Tickets are on sale now. Register or make a donation to participate in an evening of support of Nashville’s uninsured and underserved community.
- The Shade Tree Trot will be held April 9. The 5K walk/run will be held on the Vanderbilt campus and will begin at the Vanderbilt Football Stadium at the corner of Natchez Trace and Jess Neely Drive.
