VUMC’s Center for Programs in Allied Health will present a lecture by Anthea Rhoda, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Community and Health Sciences at University of the Western Cape in South Africa.
Rhoda will present on “Impacting Society Through Interprofessional and Collaborative Practice Initiatives” on May 9, from 4 – 5 p.m. in 208 Light Hall.
Rhoda holds a BSc in Physiotherapy Therapy, a BSc Honors Physiotherapy in Neurology, a MSc Medical Sciences (Rehabilitation) and a PhD in Philosophy. In the area of Health Professions education, she focuses on Faculty Development, Inter-professional Education and Student Success initiatives. Rhoda is also known locally and internationally for her work in stroke rehabilitation. She has published extensively in the field and is a C2 NRF Rated researcher. She is currently contextualizing a self-management program for individuals with stroke for South Africa.
