SENSE Theatre performances of “The Adult School” to be Dec. 2 & 3

The SENSE Lab, led by Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Professor Blythe Corbett, PhD, is excited to announce the upcoming SENSE Theatre production of The Adult School, a play about a group of reluctant students who do not see the benefit of growing up until they meet a teacher who inspires them.

Adults with autism, Vanderbilt University students, VUMC faculty & staff, and community actors will take the stage Dec. 2 (6:30 p.m.) and 3 (2 p.m.) in the Nashville Public Library Auditorium (Main Library, downtown; 615 Church Street, Nashville, TN 37219).

The performances are free and open to the public. Free parking is available in the attached Library Garage with validation.

SENSE Theatre – A Stage of Hope For Children, Adolescents and Adults With Autism – is an intervention research program designed to improve the social and emotional functioning of individuals with autism. The intervention research is supported by the National Institute of Mental Health, Nashville Public Library, Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, ACM Lifting Lives, and the Vanderbilt University Department of Theatre.
