The Healthy Brain and Child Development (HBCD) Pilot Study’s purpose is to inform a nation-wide research project that is intended to learn how children grow and change (develop) early in life. The researchers want to better understand how children’s brain develops and is affected by different environments. You may choose to participate in some or all of the pilot study activities. Participants may be asked to do a combination of the following: Complete interviews and questionnaires, and provide biosamples, such as blood, urine, and saliva.
