Nashville pianist Ed Bazel, founder of The River of Calm music channel, plays for patients in the waiting room of the Henry-Joyce Cancer Clinic at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center. The piano had been silent until Bazel had it tuned and readied for him and other pianists to volunteer at the keyboard. He also led a fundraising drive that has provided patients with headphones that stream tranquil music while undergoing chemotherapy and other infusion treatments.
