Friends of Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt held its annual fundraising event, Friends & Fashion, on Monday, April 3, at Music City Center. The fashion show and luncheon included patient families from Monroe Carell walking the runway alongside professional models.
The show featured fashions by Dillard’s at the Mall at Green Hills, Sam Edelman and the hospital’s own store, The Friends Shop.
Jason Priestley, actor and director, served as the event emcee, and Edelman was in attendance to meet with guests. His designs were also featured in a portion of the show.
“This year’s Friends & Fashion featured grateful patient families as models because we know that a child’s illness impacts the whole family along with the community surrounding that child,” said Kathy Dorr, event co-chair.
As a volunteer group for Monroe Carell, the Friends organization’s mission is to support the hospital through fundraising, outreach and patient support.
Friends & Fashion 2023 was co-chaired by Dorr, Sarah Gardner and Mary Wilson.
