A new “Send Communication” button will allow users to easily send communication encounters from the InBasket, and will be live at 6 a.m. on June 28. This is the preferred form of communication for patient information in the chart. Staff messages are still available to be sent in circumstances where users are logged into virtual departments or have communications that do not need to be saved to the chart. To send a staff message, users will continue to use the “New Message” button, which is now the third button to the right in the InBasket.
