Fei Ye selected as a fellow of the American Statistical Association

Fei Ye is the first woman among VUMC’s Biostatistics faculty to be selected as an ASA fellow. She’ll be among 47 new ASA fellows inducted in August at the Joint Statistical Meetings.

Fei Ye, PhD, MSPH, professor of Biostatistics and Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, has been selected as a fellow of the American Statistical Association (ASA). According to the ASA, Ye is being recognized for pioneering contributions to biomedical research, clinical trial design and analysis, and impactful collaborations and mentoring. She will be among 47 new ASA fellows inducted during the Joint Statistical Meetings in Portland, Oregon, this August.

The ASA, founded in 1839, bills itself as the world’s largest community of statisticians. There are five other ASA fellows among the VUMC Biostatistics faculty: Yu Shyr, PhD, Frank Harrell, PhD, William Dupont, PhD, Bryan Shepherd, PhD, and Jonathan Schildcrout, PhD. 

Ye joined VUMC in 2006 and currently serves as vice chair of collaborative studies for the Department of Biostatistics and assistant editor for statistics with JAMA Oncology. At VUMC her statistical expertise has been instrumental in securing large grants and providing advanced analyses for numerous research programs.
