Beginning in August, accessing some departments’ file sharing content will be in a different location. In most cases, the migration of all files will be handled when workforce members reboot their computer, but in some cases the change will need to be made manually.
This change is related to the VUMC ExpeditionTech multi-year program to further create secure and modern technology environments at VUMC.
File sharing content will be migrated in small batches of departments until July 2026.
The initiative will:
- Improve how you access and manage your departmental files.
- Enhance the team’s experience and ensure better service.
What to expect:
- Affected departments will receive more detailed information and instructions via email from the VUMC IT Media and Communications team.
- Migrated content will be transferred to a new file location starting on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. (CT) and be completed by the following morning at 6 a.m. (CT).
