Vanderbilt Health and Williamson Medical Center Clinics and Services, LLC, is officially open for business.
Although the corporation is new, the services and presence of Vanderbilt walk-in clinics in the Williamson County communities of Franklin and Spring Hill are well established.
On July 1, Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Williamson Medical Center formed a joint venture to collaborate in providing health care at Vanderbilt’s existing walk-in clinics in Williamson County located on Highway 96 in Franklin and at Campbell Station in Spring Hill.
“We have been serving the communities in and around Williamson County for more than 50 years,” said Williamson Medical Center CEO Don Webb. “As health care needs change, we saw this as a great opportunity to partner with a well-established group to form a dual-branded option that gives our patients even more access to quality health care.”
Both clinics, staffed by Vanderbilt faculty physicians and Vanderbilt School of Nursing faculty, offer a robust array of services to more than 60,000 patients each year.
“Through our relationship with Williamson Medical Center we have combined to strengthen our high quality walk-in clinic services within Williamson County. These clinics are positioned to also offer maximum convenience for the citizens of Williamson County,” said C. Wright Pinson, MBA, M.D., deputy vice chancellor for Health Affairs and CEO of the Vanderbilt Health System.
The transition will be a seamless one for patients, providers and staff, said Denis Gallagher, chief administrative officer for Vanderbilt Health Williamson. The clinics will continue to provide the same scope of services, with the same providers. Vanderbilt will continue to manage both clinics, he said.
“While nothing is changing from an operational or service perspective.” said Gallagher, president of the LLC. “We do believe that the strength of our combined brands will help us continue to grow and be successful in the future in an increasingly competitive market.”
A visible difference as a result of the joint venture is the signage at both clinic sites – Walk-in Clinic Vanderbilt Health and Williamson Medical Center.
The new corporation is currently evaluating additional opportunities for walk-in clinics in Williamson County.
