Beginning in July 2023, patients who are using My Health at Vanderbilt will no longer receive their statements in the mail. Instead, they will receive their statements via email and within My Health at Vanderbilt.
The transition to paperless billing will help make it easier and faster for patients to pay their bills, while providing them with a more seamless digital, modern experience. It will also reduce the amount of paper used by Vanderbilt Health and is expected to demonstrate significant cost savings for the organization.
First, second, and fourth notices of account statements will be sent digitally; the third account statement will continue to be sent by mail.
The transition will be managed by setting paperless billing as the new default within My Health at Vanderbilt. Patients can opt out of paperless billing at any time by managing their account preferences within the portal.
