Vanderbilt’s Department of Biostatistics will host the eighth annual International R Users Meeting, useR! 2012, June 11-15 in Langford Auditorium and Light Hall.
The conference is focused on “R” as the working language of data analysis and statistical computing, providing a platform for R users to discuss and exchange ideas on how R can be used for statistical computations, data analysis, visualization and new applications in various fields.
Renowned statistician Bill Venables will kick off the week with a short course on June 11.
The curriculum will be a survey of modern data analysis, graphics and statistical modeling in the style of “Modern Applied Statistics with S,” the textbook he wrote with Brian Ripley.
On June 12, the conference will feature a series of half-day tutorials in the morning and afternoon designed to appeal to a wide audience. Technical sessions will take place all day Wednesday, June 13, Thursday, June 14, and the morning of Friday, June 15.
The poster session will be held Wednesday, June 13, from 6:15-9 p.m. in the lobby of Langford Auditorim
