Gallagher named business chief for Williamson VMG
Denis Gallagher joined Vanderbilt earlier this month as chief administrative officer for Vanderbilt Medical Group Williamson County.
Gallagher most recently served as vice president of satellite development and operations in the ambulatory services division at Loyola University Health Systems in Chicago.
At Loyola he was responsible for the direction and management of multi-site ambulatory clinics with approximately 80 physicians and net revenue of $44 million.
Gallagher has also worked at Beth Israel Hospital, New England Medical Center and the Northeast Health System, all in Massachusetts.
“We're very pleased to get a seasoned administrator of Denis' caliber for this important role,” said David Posch, CEO of the Vanderbilt Clinic and executive director of the Vanderbilt Medical Group.
“His deep experience in various practice settings, including academic settings and the running of a regional enterprise similar to VMG Williamson, made Denis the overwhelming choice for this position.”
Gallagher received a bachelor's degree in health care administration from Providence College and an M.B.A. from Northeastern University.
