Two Vanderbilt medical students, Avi Giladi and Paul Reynolds, along with Steven Goudy, M.D., and his research assistant, J. Ryan Humphreys, M.D., participated in Operation HOPE this month. The medical mission was held Feb. 2-16 at the Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center in the Philippines. PAGES (Philippines American Group of Educators and Surgeons), the non-profit that runs the annual mission, has provided more than 8,000 cleft-palate/cleft-lip operations to Filipino children over the past 18 years.
