Women-On-Track aims to boost science careers
Women-On-Track, a faculty organization established to prepare and train women faculty for successful careers in academic science, gathered last week at the University Club for a reception with Jeff Balser, M.D., associate vice chancellor for Health Affairs and dean of Vanderbilt University School of Medine.
Balser joined several female faculty, including Ann Richmond, Ph.D., assistant dean for Biomedical Research, Education and Training, Nancy Brown, M.D., associate dean for Clinical and Translational Scientist Development, and Lynn Matrisian, Ph.D., chair of the Department of Cancer Biology, to discuss existing programs related to WOT, as well as initiatives under development in the School of Medicine to assist women faculty with academic career development.
