VUMC IT prioritizes advancing technology across the enterprise to ensure tools are efficient, secure, and up to date. With this in mind, VUMC IT will begin managing and replacing around 2,000 label printers across the enterprise this fall. IT technicians will start replacing label printers beginning in October 2024 and finish up in February 2025. To check when a technician is scheduled for your department, please click here.
New label printer management will:
- Enhance the quality and efficiency of outdated label printers.
- Alleviate budget restrictions on departments.
If a department requests a new label printer, VUMC IT will purchase the printer through the department’s cost center. After the purchase, VUMC IT will receive, configure, deploy, sustain, and refresh the device at no further expense to the department.
