Beginning Nov. 13, Vanderbilt Medical Laboratories (VML) at the Vanderbilt Clinic (TVC) will relocate to Suite 4915.

As part of the broader VML transformation, the new laboratory will transition chemistry and immunoassay testing to Roche cobas automation.  This change will expand capacity, improve workflow efficiency, and support consistent, high-quality laboratory testing.

How Will This Affect Laboratory Testing?

This transition will affect inpatient testing from the Main Campus and STAT testing for ambulatory clinics sent to the Main Campus.

The process for ordering laboratory tests will remain unchanged.  However, the new instrumentation may affect certain reference intervals, specimen and collection tube requirements, analytical measurement characteristics, reportable ranges, and how results trend within Epic.
