During the past year, Vanderbilt University Medical Center placed highly in several national rankings and was honored with numerous awards.

The center was created earlier this year to save the lives of patients waiting for a transplant and improve outcomes for patients after they receive a transplant.

The 15-story building is the largest expansion to date for Vanderbilt University Hospital. Located between 21st Avenue and Medical Center Drive, the Jim Ayers Tower is expected to open its first floor in October 2025.
