VICC’s Balko named a Susan G. Komen ‘Pink Tie Guy’

Justin Balko, Pharm.D., Ph.D., assistant professor of Medicine and Cancer Biology, has been named a member of the 2016 class of Pink Tie Guys by the Greater Nashville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen, a nonprofit organization dedicated to breast cancer research and patient support.

Hypertension-related visits to emergency rooms on rise in U.S.

The number and percentage of patients treated at emergency departments for hypertension are on the rise across the United States, according to a Vanderbilt study published recently in The American Journal of Cardiology.
