Autism Tennessee: ‘Supporting Parents for Healthier Outcomes’ Jan. 9

Autism Tennessee’s parent representatives respond to an average of 3,000 requests for resources and support each year. Staff and researchers wanted to quantify how this support was enriching people’s lives. They will report their findings at a community breakfast on Jan. 9.

McAfee VirusScan for Mac subscription to expire end of 2015

Vanderbilt’s McAfee VirusScan for Mac subscription is set to expire Dec. 31, 2014. Vanderbilt will continue to offer VirusScan through Dec. 31, 2015, providing customers with a year to migrate from VirusScan to SCEP.

New billing system for telephones in place as of November 2014

Vanderbilt IT recently changed the system for billing and managing telephones and telephone-related services.

Nominate a faculty or staff member for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Award

The annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Award will be presented Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, to a faculty or staff member in the School of Medicine, School of Nursing or at Vanderbilt University Medical Center who emulates the principles of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through his or her work.

LAN Management Services to transition to Dell beginning February 2015

Support of Clinical Workstations and a portion of the IT Help Desk transitioned to Dell in October. In the second phase of this transition, LAN Management Services (LMS) will move to Dell beginning February 2015.
