Children’s book author Christina Geist recently visited patients at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and read her latest book, “Buddy’s Bedtime Battery.” She was joined by her husband, television personality and journalist Willie Geist, who anchors MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” and NBC’s “Sunday Today with Willie Geist.”

To celebrate the release of her first children’s album, “I Believe in You,” legendary country music singer-songwriter Dolly Parton visited Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt on Friday, Oct. 13, and performed songs from the album for patients, their families and hospital staff.

In a first-of-its-kind collaboration for both parties, schools in Allen County, Kentucky, are joining with Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt so sick children can receive a more comprehensive array of health care services while attending school through virtual visits with Vanderbilt clinicians.
