All Vanderbilt faculty, students and staff should log in to AlertVU to make sure their contact information is complete and up-to-date so that they will receive critical information during emergencies.

VHVI first in state to implant new ventricular assist device

On Monday, Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute became the first heart program in Tennessee to implant the HeartWare ventricular assist system (VAS) as a bridge to transplantation.
