Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital adds social work fellowship program

Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital has launched a new social work fellowship which will prepare master’s degree-level graduates for social work in the behavioral health field.

Grisanti receives VUMC Social Worker of the Year Award

Lindsay Grisanti, LMSW, is the recipient of the Carolyn Edwards Social Worker of the Year Award at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Erika Rodriguez-Muñoz, LMSW, receives her plaque from Josh Owens, LCSW, director of Transition Management, after she was named Carolyn Edwards Social Worker of the Year at the annual Social Work Luncheon. Rodriguez-Muñoz works at Vanderbilt Women’s Health One Hundred Oaks and is project coordinator for the Obstetrics Opioid Use Disorder Quality Improvement project and a leader for Team HOPE, a multidisciplinary team that focuses on the optimization of opioid exposed newborns. She was one of 20 nominees for the honor, which is named for longtime VUMC social worker Carolyn Edwards. The luncheon and award presentation were part of the Transition Management Office’s observance of March as Social Work Month.

VUMC social workers make positive impact on patients, families

Whether it be helping families cope with the loss of a loved one, connecting homeless patients to community services or providing drug-addicted mothers with treatment options, social workers all work toward the common goal of facilitating positive change in the lives of patients and families.

Social worker Jones thrives on helping patients, families

As a social worker on the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at Vanderbilt, the sign’s wording fits Jones’ personality.
