Vanderbilt University Hospital’s Emergency Department recently received its Gold Achievement Award from Professional Research Consultants Inc. (PRC). The national award came in recognition of team triage, an innovation launched by the ED in 2005 that teams nurses and physicians to initiate the care of arriving patients.
