Susie Adams, R.N., director of VUSN's Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program, has been elected to the Association for Medical Education and Research in Substance Abuse's MAINSTREAM Academy of Faculty Scholars.

Project Mainstream is funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), in partnership with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration/Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (SAMHSA/CSAT). The honor is in recognition of her work with the Project MAINSTREAM, integrating substance abuse risk behavior into the health assessment for advanced practice nurse education and medical student education.
