Anglers to cast for funds

On Saturday, Oct. 11, the Nashville Traffic and Transportation Club will host its second-annual charity bass tournament on Old Hickory Lake, with proceeds benefitting the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

The entry fee is $110 per boat of one to two people, and there is a cash guarantee of $1,000 for first place.

Check-in begins at 4 a.m. at Flippers Bait and Tackle, located at 200 Odoms Bend Rd. in Gallatin, Tenn. The tournament begins at first safe light, and boats will take off in order of entry.
