Applications are being solicited for support from the VICC’s Institutional Review Grant from the American Cancer Society.

These funds provide seed money to support cancer-related research by junior faculty members who do not have national grant support of their own or who have not received prior support from the IRG. (The ACS defines junior faculty as investigators at the rank of assistant professor or equivalent and who are eligible to apply as a principal investigator for grant support from national agencies).

Faculty members with an interest in the psychosocial and behavioral aspects of cancer as well as basic and clinical research are encouraged to apply.

Funds are available to all schools of Vanderbilt University, and individual allocations are limited to $20,000 or less.

Application deadline is Thursday, May 1. For application forms and instructions, contact Karen Stroup, Ph.D., in 691 Preston Building, at 936-1072.
