Critically acclaimed author and physician Abraham Verghese, M.D., will speak about his experiences in both realms at the Abraham Flexner Lectureship in Medical Education on Friday, Feb. 26, at noon in 208 Light Hall.
Verghese is senior associate chair for the Theory and Practice of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine.
His latest novel is “Cutting for Stone,” and he is the author of “My Own Country,” a 1994 National Book Critics Circle Finalist and a Time Best Book of the Year, and “The Tennis Partner,” a New York Times Notable Book.
