The Vanderbilt University Transplant Center won two first-place national transplant awards during the recent 14th Annual National Transplant Administrators Management Forum in San Francisco.
There were more than 500 registered participants and nearly 60 abstract presentations submitted in seven categories during the UNOS forum.
Carol Eck, R.N., administrator for the Transplant Center and Cancer Patient Care Centers, won for her abstract on the Vanderbilt organ donation monthly dashboard. Jerita Payne, nurse practitioner, case manager for the liver transplant program, garnered a first-place win for her abstract on how UNOS staffing benchmarks affect liver transplant coordination and program effectiveness.
