Peter Davis, M.D., anesthesiologist-in-chief at Children’s Hospital at Pittsburgh, delivered last week’s James Phythyon, M.D., Memorial Fund in Pediatric Anesthesiology Grand Rounds. Davis spoke on the incidence of awareness under general anesthesia among adults and children. The grand rounds were held in honor of Phythyon, a longtime Vanderbilt faculty member who helped establish Pediatric Anesthesia as a separate division wihin the Department of Anesthesia.
