Jingyuan Wu, 17, a student at Oak Ridge High School, is hooked up to a sensor net in the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center EEG laboratory by Susan Williams, research coordinator. Wu is this year's winner of the Tennessee Brain Bee — a spelling bee-type competition testing knowledge of brain facts. The Tennessee winner participates in the National Brain Bee, part of the annual Brain Awareness program.
