Peter Buerhaus, Ph.D., Valere Potter Professor of Nursing, senior associate dean for Research, has been honored by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses as a recipient of the 2003 Pioneering Spirit Award. The AACN recognized Buerhaus’ research regarding the nationwide nursing shortage and other nurse workforce issues.
