Buerhaus to lead nursing society

Peter Buerhaus, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, senior associate dean for Research and Valere Potter Distinguished Professor of Nursing at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, was recently elected the director of the board of the Honor Society of Nursing.

Buerhaus will serve a four-year term.

The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International is the second largest nursing organization in the world. The 79-year-old society has 250,000 inducted members. Its mission is to improve health of people worldwide by enhancing nursing scholarship.
