Applications are being accepted for support by the American Cancer Society-Institutional Research Grant (IRG). These funds provide seed money to support junior faculty members with an interest in cancer research who do not have national grant support of their own or who have not received prior support from the IRG.

Faculty members with an interest in the psychosocial and behavioral aspects of cancer as well as in basic and clinical research are encouraged to apply.

Individual allocations are limited to a maximum of $20,000. The awards will be for the period of Jan. 1 through Dec 31, 2003. Deadline for applications is Oct. 15. Awards will be announced in mid-December.

Contact Jennifer McConnell at 936-1072 for application forms and instructions.
