The Rose Gala, a fund-raiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, will be dedicated to the memory of the late Thomas Hazinski, M.D., officials say.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 28, at the War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville.

Hazinski, who died last January, served as associate dean for Faculty Affairs and was also professor of Pediatrics and Medical Education and Administration, associate chair of the Department of Pediatrics, and director of the Division of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine.

The Rose Gala, which the CF Foundation plans to make an annual event, will include cocktails, dinner and a performance by the elle Revue, a musical cabaret and dance show that ranges through styles of music including pop, rock, country and Broadway tunes.

Money raised from this event will support the CF Foundation, and tickets are $125 each. To purchase tickets or tables, and for more information, call 255-1167 or e-mail Sara Fried at sfried@cff.org.
