The fourth annual Children's Miracle Network Radiothon benefiting the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt raised $270,179.

The three-day fund-raising event took place on the Performance Stage at Children's Hospital and aired on FM-107.5 The River.

“This was our fourth Radiothon for Children's Hospital and none were closer or more personal to me than this year's event,” said Rich Davis, operations manager for Clear Channel Radio Nashville, which owns The River.

“After just having my daughter go home from Children's Hospital less than a month and a half ago, this year's Radiothon really meant a lot to me.

“Like most parents, I never thought I would need the magnificent services of this incredible facility and its people.”

In December, Davis' daughter, McKinley Grace, was born 10 weeks early and spent time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Patients and families were interviewed by the station's on-air personalities, and more than 200 volunteers from the community manned the phones.

“This year's River of Hope Radiothon was an incredible success,” said Lisa Dill, director of Children's Miracle Network at Children's Hospital.

“The River's commitment and dedication continues to amaze us. Their compassion regarding Children's Hospital only continues to escalate and it certainly shines through during the broadcast.

“We are most thankful to all of the patients and their families who share their stories through on-air and pre-recorded interviews,” Dill said.
