A group of first-year medical students have been named the 2005 Amos Christie Pediatric Society Summer Scholars. Through the eight-week program, the students will explore pediatric medicine and gain hands-on experience at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. Under the direction of Patricia Temple, M.D., professor of Pediatrics, they will shadow attending physicians, residents and senior medical students as they provide care to patients or work on medical research in the lab.
